Mark and Robyn are the perfect match! It’s been sooo much fun getting to know them both over the past few months! When it came time to schedule their engagement session, Robyn knew exactly were she wanted it: Sidecut Metro Park in Maumee, Ohio. And what a great choice! We had to reschedule their session twice due to rain… third time is a charm, right? The day was as charming as these two were together! Congratulations to you both and I can’t wait until your wedding day at Nazareth Hall!

Oh, my goodness!!! This adorable little girl and lamb were just too cute together! A big thanks to the Indian Creek Camel Farm in L-A-M-B-ertville, too. It was the perfect backdrop… complete with camels walking in the background! This session was followed up with a day full of mini sessions 2 Saturdays later: our first set of our Special Edition Series! More to come throughout the year, and a great way for some unique portraits with different themes!
Their love story reminds me of something Nicolas Sparks would write about. They met each other while on vacation in Mexico; Sam was from Minnesota, and Ryann was a Toledo girl. Even after their vacation was over, they kept in touch over long distance, and then Ryann eventually moved to Minnesota. I LOVE it! What are the odds of them planning a vacation at the exactly same time, same place, and then meeting each other? That’s true love’s fate, if you ask me! And now they are engaged and getting married! I can’t wait for their wedding!
We planned their engagement session around their vacation back to Toledo. I met Sam for the first time during their session. Their connection with each other is so sweet! I just loved capturing it all behind camera! Here’s a few from their downtown Toledo session…
It has been so much fun organizing and helping Vahid and Niloofar plan their special day! We also put aside an appointment for an engagement session, which they’ll use images for their wedding invitations. It was a might chilly for their session in Toledo, but their photographs turned out amazing! What a great couple!
Abdi will be the next big R&B artist from Toledo! I just know it!!! With his style and personality, I know he’ll go a long way! Abdi shared his vision for the session theme, and we came up with some really cool places to photograph at in downtown Toledo. It’s going to be a tough decision to only pick one cover image! 🙂 Which is your favorite???
These two have got to be one of the cutest couples ever! And their session also happened to be on one of the last perfect days before the wintery white season. We photographed their engagement session here in Toledo at the Botanical Gardens…(one of my fav locations for fall) and captured their love for each other on a background from a palette of yellow and orange. Simply beautiful! I can’t wait until next fall…when their photographs will be of them on their wedding day!!!!
Mariah…what a beautiful name to go with such a beautiful girl! Mariah chose Wildwood Park in Toledo for her senior portraits. It was the perfect day, too! Full of sunshine and autumn colors. We didn’t have to walk very far to start her session – this first image was taken by the tree we parked our cars by! The leaves were hanging down just enough for me use the color to frame her pose. I love fall! Her spring session will soon follow this post!
I first met Cameron and Jen (great name, btw!) at a Panera Bread here in town. We sat down and discussed their wedding details. Since I had never shot at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Defiance, Ohio, I looked up their venue and immediately fell in love with it! Cameron and Jen were so sweet together and completely relaxed about their wedding planning. I knew right away their wedding day was going to be beautiful! And it was! Jen’s dress was Ah-MAZING, and she looked so breath-taking as the church doors opened with her father leading her down the aisle on his arm.
With no prominent park in town, we actually took the non-formals at the local Defiance Library. The location was perfect, with it’s red stone walls, carefully manicured lawn, and all overlooking the Maumee River.
Their reception was just as lovely, with beautiful decorative details in black and pink. The new Mr. and Mrs. Stykemain were introduced and then immediately swung into their first dance as a couple…(always one of my favorite parts of the evening!). The DJ kept the evening full of entertainment with table games and laughter for everyone. Congratulations to them both!!!
Nothing is sweeter than curled up sleepy poses of a newborn! And this little baby girl was just that…and so precious! She was actually more awake than not for her session, but we still captured some beautiful sleeping images. And look at the happy new big sister in the family portrait! What a helper she was!
What a great session we had out at the Bowling Green BGSU campus! The weather was perfect, and everything was within walking distance…from the Falcon statue right down to the academic buildings (luckily, they thought ahead and brought me my own student parking pass!). Brittany and Zach – congratulations on your engagement!!!
